The service
Memento lets you select one era of photos and asks the service to create a complete 12-card editorial recap. Your first complete Memento is included with no signup or first-session paywall. Later Mementos require a one-time purchase or active monthly plan, disclosed before generation. Memento is a creative service, not a photo-backup, archival, emergency, or financial service.
Your photos and permission
You keep ownership of your photos. You confirm that you have the right to use the images you select and grant Memento the limited permission needed to prepare them, create the requested deck, provide exports, maintain eligible recovery, and operate the service. If you deliberately create a public link, you additionally grant Memento the limited permission needed to review, host, and deliver the 12 flattened cards until you stop that link or delete the Memento. Do not submit or publish unlawful material or images you do not have permission to use.
Editorial output
Memento aims to be specific, flattering, and truthful, but generated editorial copy can be imperfect. Review a card before sharing it publicly. You may not use the service to identify people, infer sensitive traits, expose private documents, harass someone, or automate bulk or resale generation.
Public links and community safety
Creating a public link is optional and requires you to confirm that anyone with the link may view, save, screenshot, and reshare every card and that you have the rights and permissions needed to share the people and material shown. Treat the link like a secret: it does not require sign-in, and anyone who receives or forwards it may keep a copy.
Memento may automatically review public cards, accept reports, temporarily hide a reported link, and reject or remove content or access that is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, rights-infringing, or inconsistent with these terms. Visitors can report a Memento and block links from the same publisher on that browser. These safeguards do not guarantee that all objectionable material will be detected before it is seen.
You can replace the secret link or stop public access in the app. A replacement disables the previous address. Stopping a link cannot recall screenshots, downloads, or copies already reshared by other people.
Purchases
Purchases are offered and billed through Apple’s App Store. After the included first Memento, a one-time purchase authorizes one generation. A monthly subscription covers new normal personal-use generations while active; decks successfully generated while eligible remain available after normal cancellation or expiry. Displayed prices and billing periods come from Apple in your locale.
Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refund requests under its rules. A verified refund or revocation can prevent an unused authorization from starting generation, although files from a completed Memento cannot be recalled.
Availability and fair use
The service may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, or unable to produce a safe, valid deck. Reasonable limits may protect the service from automated, bulk, shared-account, resale, or adversarial use. Idempotent retries and recognized failed jobs should not create duplicate charges.
Deleting data and ending use
You may stop a public link, delete individual Mementos, or delete all Memento data using the app’s controls. You can stop using the service at any time. Subscription cancellation is managed through Apple and does not automatically delete your data. Deletion cannot recall files another person already downloaded, screenshotted, or reshared.
